The Dover Prize Funding
If you are successful and receive the £10,000 bursary, please tell us what you would use the funding for. Explain how this award will help move your artistic practice forward and what you hope to achieve. (350 words)
As a relocated artist I would use this opportunity to be in an Art Residency, where I could connect with more artists and curators. I would also set out to familiarize myself with my surroundings, and this way develop a project that enhances the intertwining of my international exposure with a new community.
This will consequently increase the opportunity for displaying my work to the local Art scene as well as including this experience and personal contact into my line of work and enrich the message I endeavour to share.
The Dover Prize Fund has its roots in Darlington. Please explain how you believe your work might enhance and raise the profile of the creative arts in the area. (200 words)
Having an already international exposure, the Darlington project presents itself as an opportunity to share the different artistic experiences harnessed in several countries and different artistic communities with the local arts community as well as the general public.
