I am a visual artist, author and illustrator for children’s picture books, magazines and newspapers. In almost all my artworks I have always a predilection for characterization and personification of inanimate objects and natural elements
If I am successful and receive the £10,000 bursary, I would like have finally the opportunity to bring my drawing of Creatures on magazine clippings to a larger scale through sculptures.
My goal is to spread joy and love to everyone through my art.

The Dover Prize Fund has its roots in Darlington. Please explain how you believe your work might enhance and raise the profile of the creative arts in the area. (200 words)

My vision is to produce some sculptures of my Creatures through public space of Darlington where everyone can enjoy a friendly Art experience, where people is not only a spectator but also a fundamental and integral part of the exhibition, that will be interactive, colourful and accessible.
The Sculptures I propose they will be made of recycled resin and in front of them I would like to put large empty frames so to allow everyone to be part also of the artworks. It is an invitation to play with the Creatures and even take a picture with them.
